CEO Update 22.05.20

Our community has positively managed the Covid-19 health threat, and we hope you continue to stay safe and well as Australia moves to ease some of the restrictions we have experienced in recent times.

We believe BDCU has an important role to play in keeping our members and employees safe, protecting our community where we can, yet also helping it to thrive. Therefore, in response to recent announcements from the NSW Premier and the favourable Covid-19 trends in our community, we have decided to reopen our Moss Vale Centre on Tuesday 9th June 2020.  We have given this a great deal of thought, and are certain we can reopen and operate the centre safely.

In order to ensure we adhere to all social distancing requirements our Moss Vale team will only be able to welcome a limited number of members into the centre at any given point in time.  We must all continue to remain vigilant, and we hope that you will support our efforts and team by observing these social distancing requirements. Over the next two weeks we will look to ensure all required health and hygiene measures are in place ready for Moss Vale’s 9th June reopening.

Bowral and Goulburn Centres remain open and Mittagong Centre is open by appointment for Lending and Business Banking meetings.  Remote banking services through our mobile banking app, Google or Apple Pay, online banking and phone banking services continue to be available if you prefer the ease, convenience and security of banking this way.  Our member service team is also available to assist you over the phone.  Simply call 4860 4000 and one of our team will be happy to help.

As our community plans its way forward and seeks to recover from the added economic impact of Covid-19, BDCU is keen to hear from local business owners regarding the ways that BDCU or our community leaders can assist local businesses to get back on track.  So if you are, or know a local business owner please encourage them to take part in this survey.

In closing, I would like to acknowledge how incredibly grateful, supportive and proud I am of our community.  In recent times we have endured drought, fire, flood – and now a global pandemic.  Many in our community are hurting and we want you to know we are here to support you in any way we can.  We are just a phone call away; every member of the BDCU team.

Take care of yourself and those you love.

Thank you for being a part of BDCU.
