Changes to ATM Network - 18.06.20

BDCU Alliance Bank has seen a steady decline in the use of our Armaguard owned ATM network as people change the way they bank.

Due to the level of decline, the following ATMs will be removed from the network

  • Hill Top
  • Goulburn Market Place
  • Bowral

There will be no change to ATM availability at the following sites:

  • Moss Vale
  • Mittagong
  • Goulburn

Why are you removing some ATM’s and not others?

We originally joined the rediATM network to make sure that members had access to fee-free ATMs Australia wide. 

We continually review our services to ensure they meet the changing needs of our members across the Highlands and Tablelands. When doing this we consider usage, proximity to alternative services and member needs. 

Since a number of banks removed direct charges from their ATMs in 2017, members have been able to withdraw cash fee-free from more than 10,000 ATMs across many networks.

In the last few years, especially since the industry changes, the cost of remaining part of the rediATM network has increased significantly.  We believe that this money could be better spent on providing members with better products, services and support.

Where can I find a Fee-Free ATM?

The good news is that a number of Banks have removed the withdrawal fee for non-customers using their ATMs. As a result, members now have a far greater choice in the ATMs they can use to withdraw cash free of direct charges - approximately 10,000 ATMs Australia wide.

What other options are available?

You can still get free cash out at supermarkets and participating retailers with purchases and there 3,500 Australia Post outlets which offer Bank@post services.

Don’t forget there are other convenient ways to pay that don’t involve cash including tap and go using Visa payWave, Apple Pay and fast payments using Osko.
